The 2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit Police car is based on the new-for-2011 Dodge Charger that we only recently saw almost completely uncovered in spy shots, and will be offered with either Chrysler’s 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or 5.7-liter Hemi V8. Dodge Charger Pursuit features a rear-wheel drive design and redesigned front and rear multi-link suspension geometries to get smooth comfortable ride for law enforcement officers who spend long days on streets doing the jobs.
In the 2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit Police car interior, the front cabin has been modified to better serve as a mobile command center, and Chrysler is offering a police interface module for easy integration of existing computer equipment. This is similar to what Ford has done with the Taurus Police Interceptor, and likely to be released after the civilian Charger is fully unveiled. Right now Chrysler is aiming to start production at the Brampton, Ontario plant in November of 2010.
